Cold Creek Conservation Area www.coldcreek.ca/

Cold Creek Conservation area Cold Creek Conservation Area is an ecologically diverse and sustainable natural area which consists of 190 hectares within the Humber River watershed (a designated Canadian Heritage River). A portion of the property lies within the “Natural Linkage” policy area of the Oak Ridges Moraine. The Conservation Area is significant due to its unique natural features. Existing mixed conifer swamp forest contains black spruce which is rare in Southern Ontario and is home to a wide array of plant and animal species.

This is where York Retriever Field Trial Club used to hold its picnic trials and hunt test and where we generally used to train our dogs until the end of May, 2016 when our agreement with the Township of King terminated. Since that time, and during the warmer months, there are training sessions at the Scott Farm in the Wyebridge-Midland area Wednesday and Sunday mornings starting around 10AM.
